Lite Brite!!!

I loved the Lite Brite when I was a kid, so naturally I bought one for my eldest son when he was about 6. The only problem was, we'd yet to realize the poor kid was color blind. Badly. I even sorted the colored pegs for him and put them in seperate tubs but it was to no avail.

Anyway, there's an online version that will waste hours and hours of time but only if you let it. ha!

Enjoy!

I am convinced that Lite Brites are not intended for males. Asher got one (from a girl) for his birthday last year and has never touched the darn thing. His sisters, on the other hand, love it!

Never understood the attraction with lite-brite.

Put the pegs in, stare at it for a little while, take 'em all out.

Worse than a jigsaw puzzle.

I remember reading somewhere that some degree of color-blindness exists in 50% of males, and less than 10% of females.

The prevailing anthropological theory is this: In our primitive cave-man days the labor was divided between the hunter-males and the gatherer females. Color wasn't so important for hunting - you'll know a mastadon when you see one. But for the gatherers, being able to recognize poisionous berries and plants from non-poisionous ones was a matter of life-or-death to the tribe. I don't know if I buy that theory, but it has an interesting ring to it!
