You Know What I Am?

I'm one of those obnoxious people who never watches a tv program, never watches a full season of sports, never watches anything...then I show up for the season finale, or the World Series or play-off championship and act like I really care who wins. The last time I actually cared who won anything was when the Angels and the Giants were in the World Series a few seasons back and then I REALLy cared.

So last night, I watched American Idol and had mixed emotions about the entire event. Carrie has a good voice and seems like a sweet girl. Bo has a good voice and seems like a nice guy. Neither of them could induce me to buy their CDs. So the mixed emotions comes because I am SO not a country music fan and very much the rocker girl, but if I had to say who has the better pipes, I'd have to say Carrie, even though Bo puts on a much better show.

The other season finale I watched was Alias. My boys have been faithful viewers, unlike me. I missed about 2 seasons and it's been hard to catch up. I did figure out, last night, that some crazy chick was trying to take over the world, and can I just say, that theme has kinda been played out. If they want viewers to take their show seriously, at least make the plot line somewhat plausible. And the "Sloan Clone"??? Seriously...that is SO Pinky and the Brain.

I watched part of the Contender on Tuesday. What's with parents letting their children watch their fathers get the snot beat out of them? I seriously wanted to beat Jesse's woman with a club. Her little girl--about 3 or 4 years old-- was sitting on her lap agonizing as she watched her daddy in the ring. I'm sorry, but that's child abuse. I changed it cause i was too mad.

So there you have it. My thoughts about things I've invested very little time in and yet still have an opinion about. Imagine that. :-P
